RECIPE: Chocolate Bounty Bliss Balls (V, DF)

If you love the combination of coconut and chocolate, and always eat the Bounty bars out of the box of Favourites, then these bliss balls are the perfect healthy treat for you!


I’ve used protein powder in this recipe make them a high protein satiating snack, and made sure to include the oat flour for some carbs and coconut for some good fats.


I love a few of these for a sweet afternoon snack or after dinner treat (or just when I’m craving something chocolate!).


INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup oat flour

3 scoop protein powder

1 tbsp cacao

3/4 cup coconut milk

3/4 cup coconut flour

1/3 cup shredded coconut

Stevia to taste

METHOD:

  1. Add all ingredients to a high powered blender/food processor and blend until a dough forms.

  2. Roll the dough into balls and freeze until set. Store in the fridge in an airtight container.

Optional - roll balls into extra shredded or desiccated coconut for a true bounty texture!


RECIPE NOTES:

  1. To make oat flour, I blended 1/2 cup of rolled oats in a blender until they reached a fine, floury consistency.

  2. I only tried these with the flours and quantities listed, so if you’re substituting any of them make sure you add enough liquid to get the right consistency that binds together.

  3. You can use either vegan or whey protein powder, but just be mindful that they will likely be drier if you use vegan and stickier if you use whey so you may need to also adjust the liquids.
